The Barbering SVQ/NVQ Level 2 SCQF Level 5 qualification consists of eight units, five of which are mandatory, plus three from an optional group. The Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ 2) in Barbering at SCQF level 5 or NVQ Level 5, allows candidates to demonstrate competence in job-related skills in their particular area of work and expertise as a junior barber. The Awarding Body is V.T.C.T
This course can be achieved part-time to allow you to carry on working whilst you work towards your qualification.

Cut Facial Hair
Shampoo, Condition and Treat the Hair and Scalp
Cut and Clipper Hair using Hairdressing Techniques
Candidates must complete 3 Units from this group
Optional Units
Dry and Finish Hair
Assist with Shaving Services
Colour and Lighten Hair
Perm and Neutralise Hair
Provide Basic Business Support and Services
Instruct and Advise on Products and Services
Provide Non-Strip Waxing Treatments for the Nostrils, Ears and Eyebrow Hair
